The Not-So-Terrible Two’s

Summer is here!!!!!   This was my first backyard session of the season, and it couldn’t have been more perfect – and most people wouldn’t have expected that since the session featured a two-year-old!  But if you were a lightning bug watching that evening while you were waiting for dusk, you would have joined in the fun.  We let this little darling explore, sing her heart out, and dance to her favorite songs (I did a bit of that, too).  When she started giving my camera the stink eye, I suggested a break to change into more comfortable play clothes.  She came back to a squealing game of “I’m-a-gonna-get-ya!” and had a chance to play on the swing set.

This two year old had more nuances in her personality than I have seen in a long time!  I couldn’t believe how many “looks” I captured!  Serene, dreamy, adventurous, playful, ornery, affectionate, and even snarky!  All in one hour and in one backyard!
